Crashed comets are assumed to be the origin of sunspots and all other pointlike energetic phenomena in stars planets and moons like volcanos at Jupiters moon IO.
However the gravity and light dimming effect is supposed to be multiplied if two "starspots" are aligned with the line of sight, which I call: pencil shaped lighthouse effect. also found on earth an Saturn rings.
As a consequence, alien magastructure star or Tabby's star (KIC 8462852) could be
interpreted by the existence of over sized starspots or crashed comet remnants.
