LIGO and Virgo announce the detection of a (small: 7-12 x the sun) black hol binary merger from June 8, 2017
News Release • November 15, 2017: https://www.ligo.caltech.edu/news/ligo20171115
Conclusion : Merger BHs seem to have specific mass ratios: between 1: 1.25 --1.9, as Quantum FFF Theory predicts.see below. For BH splitting ratios see also below. and also at: http://vixra.org/pdf/1710.0257v1.pdf
Equal sized BHs are not supposed to merge, but repell from each other and form a "Herbig Haro system" with star formation in the middle.
However, If the ration is 1>> than 1.9, up to say 50.we may expect to find a splitting BH. system creating a Herbig Haro system.
If the ratio is much higher I suggest:above 1: >> 50 the direct absorption by the larger BH should be happening
